Mixed Tocopherols is a clear, pale yellow to brownish-red viscous oily liquid, practically odorless or with a mild vegetable-oil note. Relative density: 0.932–0.955. It is a highly effective, oil-soluble natural antioxidant and remains stable under elevated processing temperatures. Prolonged exposure to air or light may cause oxidative darkening. Insoluble in water; soluble in ethanol; miscible with acetone, chloroform, diethyl ether, fats and vegetable oils.
Typical uses: antioxidant and vitamin E source in edible oils and fats, processed foods, dietary supplements, feed and personal-care formulations.
